CASH LOAN ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (CLAP)

The Cash Loan Assistance Program (CLAP) is categorized into the following:

  1. The long-term CLAP, or CHED SAFE Loan, is an interest-free loan that must be repaid on or before the student's graduation or when processing university clearance. The loan program aims to provide assistance of 鈧�8,000.00 to financially needy 3rd, 4th, 5th - year or graduating college students with General Weighted Average (GWA) of 3.0 or better. To qualify, the applicant must be officially enrolled student in the CHED identified priority courses such as:

    2. BS Food Technology
    3. BS Applied Mathematics
    4. BS Applied Physics
    5. BS Biology
    6. BS Chemistry
    7. BS Computer Science
    8. BS Mathematics
    9. BS Math and Science Technology
    10. BS Statistics
    11. BS Industrial Engineering
    12. BS Agricultural Biosystem Engineering
    13. BS Civil Engineering
    14. BS Chemical Engineering
    15. BS Electrical Engineering
    16. BS Agri-Business Management
    17. BS Agricultural Economics
    18. BS Forestry
    19. BS Nutrition
    20. Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
    21. BS Agricultural Chemistry

  2. The short-term CLAP, a loan of up to a maximum of 鈧�5,000.00, depending on the course and academic standing of the student. An applicant for the short-term Cash Loan Assistance Program must be officially enrolled and must have a good academic standing or at least a warning status during the preceding semester. The loan must be paid within the current semester, with interest rates that range from four (4) to eight (8) percent per annum.
