The UPLB Learning Resource Center (LRC) served around 4,000 UPLB students through its tutorial sessions dubbed as TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More) Learning Sessions for A.Y. 2024-2025.
The Center conducted 41 large group sessions during the first semester, serving 2,017 individuals. For the second semester, 44 large group sessions were held for 1,293 students. A total of 355 students availed themselves of one-on-one sessions with the Centerās PEER (Promoting Excellence through Educational Review) Tutors for the first semester, while 474 were accommodated in the second semester.
LRC is mandated to conduct academic support programs for students. These include free tutorial sessions that assist them in preparing for examinations and excelling in their coursework.
LRCās resident PEER tutors help facilitate individual or large group sessions across various course offerings. The most frequently requested subjects are mathematics, biology, engineering science, physics, statistics, economics, and chemistry. LRC has hired 56 individuals to serve as tutors for the program.
Duly recognized UPLB student organizations also conduct tutorial sessions in partnership with LRC as part of their academic support activities and extension projects.
The Center partnered with 25 organizations in AY 2024-2025 to conduct large group tutorial sessions. These include the following: Alliance of Computer Science Students, Alliance of Statistics Majors-UPLB, UPLB Actuarial Science Society, Philippine Association of Food Technologists, Inc.āBeta Chapter, Philippine Association of NutritionāAlpha Omega Chapter, UP Agribusiness Society, UP Agricultural and Applied Economics Circle, UP Alliance of Chemical Engineering Students, UP Concordia Scientia Animalis, UP Junior Executive Society, UP League of Agricultural Chemistry Students, UP Society of Management and Economics Students, UP Zeta Beta Rho Honor Fraternity, UPLB Cell Biological Society, UPLB Chemical Society, UPLB Chemical Kinetics Society, UPLB Economics Society, UPLB Engineering Society, UPLB Genetics Society, UPLB Mathematical Sciences Society, UPLB Mechanical Engineering Guild, UPLB Society of Chemical Engineering Students, UPLB Society of Pre-Med Students, UPLB Statistical Society, and Society of Math Majors UPLB.
To streamline and make the Centerās tutorial services more accessible, LRC partnered with the RECOMMIT-IT Team of the 51ĀŅĀ×. Together, they launched the online tutorial booking system through the OSAM website (/#).
